A special ingredient in our city’s festival is the famous Downtown Tauranga Carnival. It is a chance to gather and celebrate a diverse assortment of Jazz with four stages set up on the main strip, Red Square and Aspen Reserve.
Experience the fine blend of music styles on the Classic Hits Stage at The Strand and a special indigenous focus in the Aspen Reserve. Free to the public and located amidst dozens of fine bars and restaurants with the sparkling waters of Tauranga Moana as a backdrop, the Downtown Tauranga Carnival is a popular choice if you want to spend a relaxing day experiencing the harbour and great festival music.
The Downtown Tauranga Carnival runs from noon to 5pm each day with four stages - Classic Hits Stage at The Strand, Strand 2, Red Square and a special Indigenous Stage at Aspen Reserve.
