- our very own version of New Orleans' French Quarter.
Music drifts around every corner from the many in and outdoor venues sprinkled throughout our Jazz Village in true New Orleans style. Buskers juggle, play music and sing amongst the many food and art stalls providing entertainment for the whole family. Bring the children for hands-on workshops in drumming and fun musical demonstrations at Huckleberry's hut.
More than 20 bands will delight visitors from near and afar on the stages set against the unique backdrop of the Historic Village on 17th Ave. A series of Voice and Guitar concerts in the church will sit alongside some bluesy notes on the large outdoor stage and traditional Preservation Hall style bands.
Monday will see a special programme for the 50th Festival anniversary and the reunion of iconic Festival bands Dr. Jazz, Jazz of Plenty, Riverina Jazz and more.
The line-up of bands at the village is simply fantastic and includes: Paul Ubana Jones, Kokomo, Billy TK Junior, Trevor Braunius and Frank Gibson Jnr.
A day at the jazz village is a family day-out like no other.
